Add Peace of Mind Service as an accessory to your order when you buy a Smart or Electrified bike. Buying it later isn’t possible, sadly.
How much Peace of Mind do I actually get?
We’ll recover or replace your stolen bike for free the first time. If by some freakish bad luck your bike is stolen a second or third time, we’ll recover or replace it for a €98 bike hunting fee each time. If your bike is stolen a fourth time, we’ll give you a big hug, but our Bike Hunters can’t help this time.
I didn’t lock my VanMoof and then it got stolen. Can you track it down for me?
Sadly, no. We can only recover or replace your stolen Smart S or X if its theft defense system was armed and the VanMoof supplied lock was in use. The same condition applies to the Electrified S2 and X2: the Kick Lock needs to have been engaged at the time that your bike was stolen. For the Electrified S, our condition is that the VanMoof chain lock was in use.
I pimped up my bike with its own Sonos, flask holder, and sheepskin hand-warmers. It got stolen. Will you replace all my stuff?
We’ll do our very best to find your legendary bike back but if we can’t, we’re not able to replace any previously added accessories. (You will get a new chain lock, though, if you have an Electrified S.)
What happens if I sell my Smart or Electrified bike to someone else?
Your Peace of Mind Service policy is yours and yours alone. It’s non-transferable in the event you sell your bike.
How can I get around town while the Bike Hunters are looking for my stolen bike?
We’d love to loan you a bike if you live close to one of our VanMoof brand stores in Amsterdam, Berlin, London, New York, San Francisco, Paris, Taipei, or Tokyo. Just contact the brand store and we’ll fix you up with some wheels.
