Bike Mechanics Team Lead


As a Bike Doctor Team Lead, you’ll have a strong focus on our Bike Doctor team's daily operations. With your outstanding leadership, ability to solve problems and in-depth knowledge of VanMoofs’ products, you’ll manage and coach a team of Bike Doctors to provide a five-star service to our customers and exceed our performance targets.

Focusing on the development of your team, you’ll provide regular coaching and training to the Bike Doctors.

By overseeing the workshop on a daily basis, you'll ensure that procedures are followed, objectives are reached, and will report the key performance metrics to your managers. Additionally, we also rely on you to continuously improve our internal processes, in order to drive quality and efficiency in our repair operations.

What you’ll do

  • You understand our business, know your numbers, and lead our Bike Doctor team’s daily operations to achieve specific goals in productivity, quality, output, cost; as well as revenues where applicable

  • You understand and own every aspect of a service location. You’re responsible for driving continuous improvements to facilitate exceptional team output and quality of service. 

  • You support the store team to provide 5 stars service

  • You solve technical & organisational disruptions, help with analysis of larger malfunctions, and determine priorities for repairs

  • You provide regular coaching and feedback, and have an extensive knowledge of your team’s strengths

  • You hire and organise your team to adapt the workforce to the customer demands 

  • You’re able to perform root cause analysis and thereby improve the process

  • You’re responsible for the performance targets, which you define with your manager at the beginning of each quarter

  • As a manager, you actively propagate VanMoof culture and policy to your team and colleagues

  • As a Bike Mechanic Team Lead, you are a “Safety Champion”; you lead by example in the field of safety and ensure that safety awareness is increased within the team

What you’ll bring

  • Good understanding of bikes / mechanics

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Strong accountability, consistency and follow-through skills

  • Analytical thinker with a give-me-a-problem-and-i'll-solve-it attitude

  • Customer-service mindset

  • Experience in monitoring and steering teams towards KPIs

  • Comfortable to use Google suites (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms) and easily adapt to new softwares

  • Strong spoken and written English skills
