Power Electronics Engineer
Want to help our ambitious R&D team to create the very best e-bike out there? As a Power Electronics Engineer, you’ll work with our R&D teams across our HQ in Amsterdam and production headquarters in Taipei.
As a Power Electronics Engineer, your focus will be to design, develop, and test motor drivers, DCDCs, power electronics, and battery management systems (BMS). You’ll report directly to the Head of Power Systems and work with external partners to define and implement the subsystems that the complex electromechanical systems that live in our world-class e-bikes need. Our ideal candidate has experience in developing power electronics systems from initial design to mass production.
What you’ll do:
You’ll work with our global R&D team and our external partners to define and implement required subsystems.
You’ll make sure we carry out proper testing, validation, and certification of the overall system.
You’ll drive the system design and implementation process, bring-up, integration, and support manufacturing tests for mass production.
You’ll drive continuous reliability, yield, and performance improvements throughout development and into production.
What you’ll bring:
You have a degree in Electrical Engineering (BS, MS preferred).
You have experience in developing and bringing to market highly complex, consumer electronics products (e.g. battery powered connected mobile devices).
You have experience with electronics CAD tools (preferably Altium Design).
You have experience shipping high-volume consumer products in a design role.
You have hands-on experience and know-how on every step of the process required to bring electronic products to production.
You have good knowledge of most technologies used in motor drivers and power electronics.
You have a solid understanding of EMC.
You have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Extremely nice to have:
Experience working with Asian design manufacturers and suppliers
Experience with CANBus, SPI and other serial communications
Experience with GaN technology
Electromechanical experience
Production and test engineering knowledge
