Financial Administrator


VanMoof is an innovative e-bike company with an ever-growing community of riders in cities all over the world. We’re on the look out for a Financial Administrator who’s ready to jump in at the deep end and take charge of our international growth strategy. At VanMoof, we want to make sure that our finances are watertight. Not only will that allow us to maintain good relationships with our suppliers, but we’ll also be able to analyze the performance of the company. That’s where you come in.  

So what will be your role and responsibilities? You’ll take charge of accounts payable and receivable of the VanMoof Group, working with the Accounting team to make sure we process all payments on time.  Want to make an impact? You’ve come to the right place. You’ll be part of a team that manages various entities across five countries and will be a part of projects to automate finance processes as we grow. You’ll also play an important role in the dynamic Finance team, where your primary focus will be to look at our procedures and policies, and share your ideas about where you think we can improve. 

What you’ll do:

  • You’ll generate and send invoices and make sure payments are made in a timely manner.

  • You’ll anticipate and act when payments (B2B) are not made on time.

  • You’ll process, sort, code, and match incoming invoices in Odoo [our Mail/ERP-system].

  • You’ll set up payments for incoming invoices and enter invoices in the Odoo accounting software system.

  • You’ll generate age analysis for account receivables/payables.

  • You’ll prepare journal entries, including filing the supporting documentation. 

  • You’ll advise our Customer Support team with tickets concerning all things finance.

  • You’ll work closely with your colleagues in  Financial Control and Business Control during the month end process to ensure the highest quality of reporting.

  • You’ll deliver input for cashflow forecasting and statements.

  • You’ll provide feedback on projects to improve processes and automation.

What you’ll bring:

  • You have at least two years of relevant work experience in accounting within a Finance team. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting is a plus.

  • You have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken. Bonus points if you can speak Dutch. 

  • You’re experienced with Microsoft Excel. Any experience withOdoo is a plus.

  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • You thrive in a proactive team environment, placing importance on accuracy.
