Amsterdam City Hub Manager

That is why we are looking for an Amsterdam City Hub Manager to join us and run our largest retail locations back where our journey began – our Brand Store based in Amsterdam East and our Service Hub based in Amsterdam West. 

As our Amsterdam City Hub Manager, you’ll recruit, lead and train our Amsterdam East and West teams. You will lead by example and have the right skills and attitude to inspire Bike Doctors and Sales Associates alike. You will be perfecting the in-store look, feel and experience across all visitor touchpoints. With your hands-on experience and expertise, you’ll grow conversion and customer satisfaction. What you’ll do:

  • You’ll take responsibility for setting up and implementing the operational strategy and oversee the day-to-day management of our teams across both locations – covering sales, repair operation and stock management.

  • You’ll grow the Hubs into a VanMoof brand ’embassy’ by providing our riders with a consistent top-of-the-class and on-brand experience throughout their Hub visit with our test rides and repair service.

  • You’ll lead the team and focus on training and development to optimise sales and service performance.

  • You’ll establish and implement performance standards at both locations – actively contributing to meeting and exceeding monthly sales, service and delivery targets.

  • You’ll translate the theoretical service needs of VanMoof bikes in your region into usable service capacity, plan the workforce against capacity and execute your plans.

  • You’ll convert the annual sales forecast into an actionable plan for your team to ensure we keep our promises to the riders and meet the targets.

  • You will take responsibility for the full operation and relevant KPIs of both Hubs – including managing inventory levels and preparing accurate forecasts together with the Operations team.

  • You’ll recruit, engage and manage a team consisting of 60+ colleagues and set them up for success and future growth.

  • You’ll liaise together with both management teams in the Hubs, and the global Retail and Bike Service leadership on continuous improvements of the two Hubs. 

What you’ll bring:

  • You’ll have a minimum of 5+ years of managerial experience, preferably with a retail and customer service background in a fast-paced service-minded industry.

  • You have previous experience as a store or area manager of a similar size.

  • You have a can-do, give-me-a-problem-and-I’ll-solve-it attitude who is ready to overcome challenges that may arise within teams.

  • You have experience with onboarding and management training and are familiar with HR processes. 

  • You’re familiar with working with Store and Service KPIs with a proven track record and can translate these KPI’s to the team in a clear manner. 

  • You’re analytical and have a strong interest in working with digital programs.

  • You have the ability to devise relevant and innovative strategies and implement them. 

  • You’re a natural when it comes to working and collaborating with others.

  • You have excellent command of both Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
