The VanMoof fleet is growing: Here’s how to choose between the all-new VanMoof S5 & A5 and the high-speed VanMoof V.
As you may have seen, on April 5 we revealed the all-new, all-electric VanMoof S5 & A5 – the next generation in our line of city e-bikes. And with orders open for our first-ever high-speed electric bike, the VanMoof V, there’s more choice than ever for a prospective VanMoof rider. So, let’s get down to the details. What are the key differences between the VanMoof S5 & A5 and the VanMoof V? We’ve broken it down so your choice is a little easier.
At VanMoof, our dream has long been to make biking so effortless, fun, and easy that it becomes the world’s new default way of getting around our cities. 13 years ago, we set out to create the perfect city bike. To make something really special, we had to break all industry conventions – and we’ve been designing and producing bikes from the ground up ever since.
Whether you live in the center of a bustling city and need some wheels to zip about town, or you’re commuting longer distances each day, we’ve got something for you. In the last half a year, the VanMoof family has gained two new members that have been specifically designed to help us convince more people than ever to ride electric in cities all over the world. To trigger a real change in the way city dwellers move, we need to provide something for everyone – so accessibility, reliability, and quality were the three top priorities for our expert team of Industrial Designers. Let’s see what they came up with.

Shrink even the biggest city with the VanMoof V
The VanMoof V is our very first high-speed bike, set to take you beyond what you thought an e-bike was capable of. Designed to shrink even the biggest city, The VanMoof V will be everything you love about riding, and then some. Featuring two-wheel drive, a full suspension frame, advanced acceleration, thick tires, and next-gen integrated tech, this bike will breathe new life into our streets. And we’re not stopping at our cities. The V will fill the gap between rural and urban mobility, by making it possible to navigate around larger cities and go from city to city. How? By extending its capabilities beyond every other e-bike on the market. By making sure our first high-speed model can master these longer journeys, this bike is set to be a viable replacement for a car or a moped. With a top speed of 50 km/31 miles per hour and two powerful 1 kW motors, the V is the top choice for riders traveling longer distances at faster speeds.
