COVID-19 updates from VanMoof HQ

Right now, COVID-19 is on everyone's minds. VanMoof is still very much operational, but we’re prioritizing the safety of our riders and team members above everything else. We’ll keep this page updated with the latest updates from VanMoof HQ, along with practical information for our riders.

Safe and reliable transportation is now more important than ever, and we’re going to do everything we can to protect our communities worldwide.

18/03/20 | Additional brand stores closed

We're now closing all VanMoof brand stores except for Tokyo until further notice. If you need help with your bike or have questions about an order, you can still contact our support team at any time. It may still be possible to service your bike in certain locations, but unfortunately this cannot be facilitated everywhere.

If you work in a vital profession and you need your bike to commute, please reach out – we'll see what we can do to help. Take care and ride safe!

21/04/20 | Brand stores open for test rides

From April 21, we will be opening select brand stores for VanMoof S3 & X3 test rides. Strict hygiene and social distancing measures will be in place at all locations, with test rides booked on a spaced schedule to avoid customer overlap. Our Paris and Tokyo brand stores will remain closed until further notice.

The Amsterdam, London and New York brand stores will also be temporarily closed until further notice.

17/03/20 | Three brand stores closed

The Berlin, Paris, and San Francisco brand stores will be temporarily closed until further notice.

16/03/20 | Brand store precautions

We’re taking the following precautions in all brand stores to avoid any risk and limit the spread of COVID-19 wherever possible:

  • We’re regularly cleaning all brand store areas, and deep-cleaning all bikes before and after we handle them.
  • Team members must work at home if possible, with minimal store staff and Bike Doctors in the building.
  • We’re shrinking all teams to the bare essentials to limit possible spreading of the virus.
  • Colleagues from head office are working from home.
  • Any team members who have COVID-19 symptoms must stay home.
  • We’re keeping at least 1.5 meters distance between team members and customers, with no handshakes or other physical contact.

We ask that any customers showing COVID-19 symptoms please do not visit our brand stores – we’ll still be here when you’re feeling better!
