Every detail of the S5 & A5 has been engineered to deliver the smoothest, easiest, and most powerful ride out there. More people than ever are ready to join the rider revolution in cities across the world – so in response, we’re coming back to the table with two most accessible frames yet. (Not many people match the height of the average Dutch rider, after all). The S5 is a continuation of the unmistakable VanMoof straight frame with refreshed geometry and smaller wheels – perfect for controlled cruising and longer rides. The A5 is our lowest step-in frame yet, which means more riders than ever can experience e-biking in their city. The A’s your best bet for agile city rides and pit stops.

The VanMoof S5 & A5 are packed with refined, high-quality, and ultra-low maintenance parts. An industry-first LED Halo Ring Interface is integrated into the bikes' handlebars to provide riders with effortless, intuitive feedback about their speed, battery levels, and connectedness. By using our new optional phone mount, you can now tap into the VanMoof app on the go and receive live data as your ride. You’ll also be able to make sure your phone’s fully charged at all times thanks to an integrated USB charging port. Yep – when we say we ride smart, we mean it.
At the heart of the A5 & S5 forward is our powerful, near-silent Gen 5 Motor. The all-new torque sensor elevates the responsive riding experience, meaning the bike reacts to your own distinct pace and movements. Together with the next-gen E-shifter and integrated battery, an updated intelligent module coordinates an intuitive power system to give you the smoothest riding experience at any speed. And our most loved feature, the Turbo Boost, is here to stay – and it’s designed to be more thrilling than ever. With stronger acceleration than ever before, get ready to jump to warp speed with the new and improved Gen 5 Turbo Boost.
But designing our easiest, most hassle-free ride yet doesn’t stop at the technical intricacies of the bike itself. No one wants to worry about their ride after it’s been locked up. Our famed anti-theft technology has been honed with a revamped in-wheel Kick Lock, with a bigger pin and auto retract function making keyless unlocking even easier. That’s right, you can just secure your bike with a tap of your toe and get on with your day. Your ride’s always happy to see you return – it’ll unlock as soon as it senses you closeby. And if the unthinkable does happen, you can rely on our Bike Hunters to recover your ride and our Bike Doctors to help out at the tap of our app with our Peace of Mind services. So you can focus on what’s most important – enjoying the ride.
