Hot off the press: the latest VanMoof S3 & X3 reviews

When we designed the VanMoof S3 & X3, we set out to make the best e-bikes in the world. And if the landslide of glowing reviews is anything to go by, we were pretty successful in our mission.
"Let me put it plainly: the S3 is the most sophisticated ride I’ve ever experienced on an e-bike [...] To call the S3 and X3 the best e-bikes below $2,000 is easy, but these might be the best e-bikes at any price."
Longtime VanMoof fans The Verge lead the charge with their highest-rated e-bike review of all time, calling attention to the S3 & X3’s revolutionary pricepoint as well as the pioneering E-shifter and powerful-yet-silent motor.

"Cruising around on the S3 [is a] zen-like experience [...] I looked forward to riding the bike every day."
Business authority Forbes was wowed by the S3 & X3’s everyday practicality, welcoming its mix of understated design and top-level performance. They also made room for an unboxing shout-out, hailing the initial set up as “Apple-like.”

"An elegantly designed tech product [that] kept me out of my car. I saw more of the outdoors than I normally would, while keeping a safe distance from people. That beats bingeing on Netflix."
Likewise, the New York Times highlight the real-world applications of thoughtfully designed and zero in on the new role e-bikes are playing through lockdown and beyond.

"The VanMoof S3 is a textbook electric bike riding experience in 2020. It flattens out hills, it keeps you almost constantly at 15-20mph with minimal effort, and it lets you put the hammer down if you want to. [...] For urban commutes, I don't think you could get anything better than the VanMoof S3."
Tech giant T3’s heady appraisal reads like it was written by our own marketing team. But we’re legally obliged to point out it definitely wasn’t (!). Even so, the international magazine was taken by the suite of integrated technology and the effortless ridefeel.

"The new VanMoof is a very good looking bike. [...] The last thing I rode that got this much attention was a bright red, late-'60s-design Corvette. [But] when red lights turned green, I could launch ahead of any car next to me."
Wired might have been drooling over the VanMoof S3’s envy-inspiring good looks, but their Corvette comparison was more than surface deep. When it came to the traffic light drag race, they found the S3 taking pole position – every time.

"It’s not an overstatement to say that thinking about the S3 as just a bike is a bit like thinking of the first iPhone as just a mobile telephone – there’s so much more going on."
Aside from heroing the VanMoof S3 & X3’s looks, performance, and class-leading technology, The Telegraph keep the bigger picture in mind. Much like Apple’s iPhone, they herald the launch of the S3 & X3 as a watershed moment – set to change the way we get around cities forever.
Don’t just take their word for it – book a test ride, and find out what it’s really like to ride the future.
